[What’s New with Google] Google Sends out Invites for its October 4 Pixel Phone Launch Event

We have been hearing a lot of rumors about the two new Google Pixel smartphones launching later this year and it looks like all of the rumors might be true after all as Google just sent out invites for its upcoming event in San Francisco on October 4.

What is New with Google?

Before the invitation, the first confirmation of the Google event came in the form of a TV advert, which was more of a teaser for people waiting for the Google Pixel phones, that streamed during the premier of the popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory’s latest season. The advert has since been uploaded on Google’s YouTube where everyone can watch it.

Google has also created a new site madeby.google.com that starts with almost same imaging as the Google Pixel phone TV advertisement but after the phone-shapped outline is completed, various photographs starts to fill out the shape one by one. This doesn’t provide any information about a feature of upcoming Pixel Phone but it does provide some weight to a previous rumor that stated that Google will be introducing a whole new wallpaper experience on the new Pixel phones. The site also features a subscription option to get updates about the new Google Pixel smartphones.

Made By Google – Google Pixel Phone

Another interesting thing to note is the domain name that Google has also used on its Twitter account with the hashtag #madebygoogle. This leads to the fact that the upcoming Pixel phones, rebranded from the Google Nexus lineup of smartphones, will be Google exclusive smartphones without the involvement of a 3rd-party manufacturer like HTC or LG etc. Let’s wait and see how these new Google Pixel phones compete with the rest of the Android smartphones in the market.
